SAMANTHA STRASSMAN, LCSW
Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Samantha Strassman is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). Sam was born and raised in the Lehigh Valley, and she continued her schooling in the area, earning her Bachelor’s in Psychology from Moravian College. Sam then earned her Master’s in Social Work from Columbia University in New York City, with a specialization in family, youth, and children.
Since 2011, Sam has experience working with adolescents and young adults in a variety of settings, including hospitals, schools, partial hospitalization programs, community centers, outpatient therapy, and residential programs. Sam’s warm, open, and friendly demeanor allows younger populations to feel safe and comfortable as they work together to create positive changes. Sam works with individuals struggling with various concerns, including anxiety, depression, stress management, and difficult life transitions.
Sam takes a very individualized approach with her clients, and through a collaborative therapeutic relationship, she helps clients increase awareness of their thoughts and feelings that may be hindering positive change. Sam will work with clients to challenge negative thinking patterns and explore aspects of life which are beyond our control. She will also help clients learn ways to cope with life’s hurdles, and ultimately find peace.
Therapy can be challenging and takes real courage and commitment. It can also be a rewarding experience that allows you to grow through self-exploration, empowerment, new insights, and creating positive changes for yourself to reach your desired goals. Reaching out may seem difficult, but you will be safe and supported in this process. Sam looks forward to hearing from you when you are ready to get started on your journey.
