DR. KEYONI ROGERS

Dr. Rogers was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. She earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from The Lincoln University. She then received her Master of Science in Clinical Psychology from Chestnut Hill College. She continued on to earn her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (PsyD) with a concentration in psychological assessment. Dr. Rogers has received clinical training and experience in various settings, including high school and college counseling, community mental health, and clinical and forensic private practice. Dr. Rogers then completed her predoctoral internship at Rutgers University Correctional Health Care, where she conducted psychotherapy and assessment with justice-involved individuals. Her doctoral dissertation qualitatively explored the experiences and coping of Black police officers during the current sociopolitical climate.

Dr. Rogers provides psychological assessments to aid in diagnostic clarification to guide treatment and forensic evaluations. Her approach to therapy is individualized, where she values meeting each client where they are on their journey. She integrates theories and techniques from psychodynamic and cognitive behavioral therapy in an effort to provide increased insight and awareness as well as symptom reduction. Dr. Rogers values the exploration of and attention to multiculturalism, where she aims to integrate each client’s cultural identities into the treatment while also considering intersecting identities between herself and each client. She truly believes everyone deserves a safe space to feel valued, encouraged, and seen. Within the therapeutic relationship, Dr. Rogers has been told that she has a calming presence and is kind-spirited.

Dr. Rogers enjoys spending time with friends, family, and her Yorkipoo in her spare time. She is also passionate about horseback riding, traveling, and finding delicious new restaurants!
