CORINNE RIEKSTS-TODD, M.S., LPC

Corinne is a Licensed Professional Counselor who takes a great interest in helping others through personal challenges and empowering them towards achieving their own well-being. She earned her Master of Science in Clinical and Counseling Psychology from Chestnut Hill College while raising a family and has called the Lehigh Valley her home almost all of her life. After graduating from Southern Lehigh Highschool, she pursued her Bachelor of Science in Applied Psychology, which she ultimately achieved through Penn State Lehigh Valley. During her experience at Penn State, she acted as President of the National Honor’s Society in Psychology (Psi Chi) for her local branch, and began her membership in the Lehigh Valley Psychological and Counseling Association.

The eight years of experience that Corinne has working in the Psychology field have helped her to refine her skills to assist individuals with a variety of challenges and life transitions. Corinne’s focus is to provide each client with a warm environment, free of judgement, as she believes a positive client-therapist relationship is key to success in treatment. Corinne’s style includes Cognitive Behavioral, Person-Centered, Solution Focused, Psychodynamic and Mindfulness. She finds these methods are useful in allowing the client to explore thoughts, feelings and behavior patterns in order to gain insight, build a framework for problem solving and engage in healthy ways to cope with stressors.

When Corinne is not meeting with clients, she is spending time with her family, enjoying time outdoors, streaming movies, talking with friends, reading a good book, as well as doing yoga and barre. She enjoys collecting and learning about the uses of essential oils, as well as practicing Reiki and meditation.

​

She believes therapy is collaborative and uses a team approach with the client to help them towards reaching their goals. When you book an appointment with Corinne, she will make sure to take extra care in regards to creating each client’s treatment plan to meet their own individual needs.
